Stuff really works well.
By Shorty L
Its not BS hype. It actually provides an incredibly smooth shave and protects & moisturizes the skin. You dont even need aftershave lotion. Just scrape off the large globs and pat skin dry. Thats all the aftershave you need and then some. Smells nice too, much better than Gilette or Barbosol.
Only downside is its awfully expensive to use every day. As a poor man I have to ration it. Usually get it for Xmas anyway, but I try make it last a year. Ideally its saved for occasions when you need the best possible shave, like job interviews or dates.
If you can shop around and compare prices it may be worth the extra time to save a few dollars. This cream is nice enough you’ll want to use it a lot.

The Best!
By Lao T. Sue
I’ve been shaving for more than 50 years, and I’ve discovered two things. First, shave in the shower. The more moist your beard is, the better the shave. Get a lighted mirror that attaches to the shower head so it doesn’t mist up.(Sharper Image online?) Second, use the best shave cream you can get. I’ve tried lots and lots, and as a class, the brushless gives a better shave. I used to like Palmolive brushless, but they don’t make it any more. The stuff a The Art of Shaving is OK, but it comes in a tub, which is hard to deal with in the shower. Rite Aid’s RS (Real Shaving Co.) is also good. This Aveda product is the best. A little pricey, but a small private luxury, particularly such an intimate one, is perhaps excusable, no? This cream has the right balance of coverage, ease of rinsing off the razor, ease of rinsing your face, and maintaining the moisture in your beard so you get a good shave. It’s probably good for your skin, too, but I really don’t care too much about that…….
